What are the minimums for trading cards?
We offer packages with as few as 9 cards!
What paper stock are your trading cards printed on?
All of our trading cards are printed on extra-thick 16 pt coated 2-sided (C2S) card stock. All cards are finished with a glossy UV coating on both sides.
How much information can I include on my cards?
The Work & Play online ordering system will guide you through the recommended information for the template you have chosen. Each field has a maximum character count (which varies by field) to ensure adequate space for a beautiful layout of your card!
Can I design my own trading card?
You sure can! Please contact us for details.
Can I email digital images of my photo(s)?
Yes. However, we do recommend sending through the Work & Play online ordering system. If sending by email, we recommend photos be saved in a high resolution jpeg format at 300 dpi, larger than 3” x 5”. Those files sent on disk should be saved in TIFF, Illustrator, or Photoshop formats.
The image I would like to use is copyrighted. Can I send copyrighted material?
You would need to provide Work & Play written permission — in advance — from the copyright owner. Work & Play Trading Card Company, LLC, is not responsible for researching the copyrights of any photographs you submit and will not be held legally responsible for any copyright infringement. Orders received that include any materials with copyright protection markings will not be processed until Work & Play also receives a signed letter of release.
Can you crop my photograph?
The designers at Work & Play will crop your photo if necessary to ensure the best fit with the template you have chosen. Please do not crop photos prior to sending.
Can you touch up my photograph?
The designers at Work & Play do minimal photo improvement with every order. If you have extensive changes — and you specifically request those changes — Work & Play can make them at a charge of $50/hour.
I would like to see a proof of my order. Is that included?
Yes! Every order includes an emailed proof of the card you ordered.
What is the turnaround time for my trading card order?
You should receive a PDF proof of your card(s) within 5 business days after receipt of your complete order. Your cards should ship roughly 2 weeks after we receive your approval of/changes to your proof.
I plan to mail photographs, but am concerned about getting them back. Will they be returned to me?
Yes, all photographs sent by mail will be returned. We do, however, recommend against sending photos of sentimental value. In those instances, it is wise to make and send a duplicate.
Is there a specific way I should name my files before uploading?
Yes. It is very helpful if you name the file with the subject’s first and last name, followed by the file extension. (For example, abby_jones.jpg).
What type of payments do you accept?
Work & Play accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit card payment through PayPal for your convenience. You do NOT need a PayPal account to use this service.
What if there is an error with my order?
Contact us immediately! We will correct the problem as soon as possible.
